RACE race 33:44 [5] 10.0 km (3:22 / km)

PB - 33.44 (however was 1st 10km Race so I guess also a PW)

Was a fast race, good conditions and a good day all round for Hallamshire Runners with PB's being thrown all over the place.

Splits 16.45/16.59. I was going to try and stick with Andrew Challenger but he proved to be too strong and I let him go after about 2k. I was quite mashed after 5k to be honest and spent the second 5km dropping focus and then suddenly waking up and putting in a surge.

Deeper aerobic base is needed and even though 800/1500 is my main focus - these events are predominantly aerobic and the speed can be put on top of that quite quickly.

Session - 3x300,3x200,3x100 + WU drills.
Just wanted to 'sharpen up a little before Sunday's race so done these efforts at a comfortably controlled pace.
45,45,45 30,30 ???

Session was alone - normally I don't mind doing a session on my own down at the track but this evening I was really struggling with motivation and was just going through the motions and getting it done.

Awful session, went off far too fast on the first two reps and burnt out, still feeling sundays race in my legs. Stupid and pointless.

Session was meant to be 8 x 1k (200jog in 90s) - a roughly 5k paced session.
