Running 20:00 [3] 2.67 mi (7:30 / mi)

I'm now in Singapore, I think I mentioned that already. There is so much pollution in the city and I'm sure it can't be good for your lungs. I've spent a week working in the paediatrics department of the National University.

The students here are ridiculously intelligent in terms of their ability to remember facts and regurgitate their knowledge, posters reading 'THE BEST MEDICAL IN ASIA' are everywhere. On the other hand I think they take a rather long winded approach in getting to the point when faced with a patient!

No problems when walking or hopping with my foot, there is still some pain when I press firmly over the bone but after 16 days of rest I thought I would see how my foot held up after a jog.

I ran for 20 minutes in my new shoes (Saucony Kinvara 3), it felt like I was running on a mattress, after running in zero drop minimal shoes for so long it was a very strange experience and to be honest it feels horrible. However I think when running on so much concrete it is probably necessary. I can't believe these shoes are still meant to be minimal ! Maybe I'm wrong though and this barefoot/minimal hype is a load of shit, if I would of just stuck to my shoes with a huge wedge of cushion under the heel then maybe I would not have been injured for so long. However with me it is difficult to say what the cause was as I was previously so stupid with the mileage.

My foot was fine and I didn't feel too unfit despite having not ran for over two weeks.I ran around the local football fields in the Little India part of the city, which is were I am staying.
