Running 29:04 [3] 3.88 mi (7:30 / mi)

Easy run before work, a glorious morning, still some quite strong winds. Legs are still feeling tired but a good sort of tired.

Running 53:03 [3] 7.95 mi (6:40 / mi)

I'm working at the moment in Walton, Liverpool at The Walton neurosurgery/neurology centre. The care for the patients is top notch and when staff:patient ratios are more reasonable you feel less exhausted and able to train properly after work.

After getting home I had planned to go the track but the wind really was insane and I did not fancy cycling to the track, so I did a park session which with the sun, junior football teams playing early evening matches and a makeshift 'boot camp by three women and a getto blaster.

2 mile tempo (driving wind and on grass) : 12.14
5 min jog
6 x 1 min hills hard (champion sparks 56-59s)
6 x 30 strides

Legs quite tired but overall pleased with how this went.

Turbo trainer 47:00 [3]

Steady, helped along by the Epilepsy podcast I was listening to and the strobe lighting in my bedroom.

Commuting
10 AM

Running 28:05 [3] 4.39 mi (6:24 / mi)

As cycling is expensive. I am in the unfortunate situation of not being able to afford new running shoes after my new mizuno shoes split yesterday. So after finding some old inov8 trail shoes I set out to do the striding session I planned yesterday.
Legs still feeling tired and was in a rush to get this done before work.
16 * 30 s strides

Running 33:35 [3] 4.42 mi (7:36 / mi)

Nice run around ours.
3 PM

Turbo trainer 30:00 [3] 10.0 km (3:00 / km)

Bile for a coffee and back with Dom.
5 PM

Running 17:46 [3] 2.67 mi (6:39 / mi)

The plan was to do 20 x 30s strides on a straight flat path not far from the club. It seems after I have been talking so positively about my new mizuno evo levitas that I might have spoken too soon as after 8 thirty second strides the shoes split down the left seem. I'll send it do Mizuno and see what they can do as I love this shoe, if not I'll be back with either the NB minimus or Nilke free.

Legs feeling a little fresher, slowly after saturday.

Cycling 1:30:00 [3] 31.0 km (2:54 / km)

Active recovery, legs are barking less after this.
7 PM

Cycling 47:00 [3] 19.0 km (2:28 / km)

Cycle with me dad and Dom. I cycled ahead and waited at several points for them to catch up making good use of the auto pause. It was vicious competition between me dad and Dom. My dad skipped a red light on the lastcorner dropping Dom.

Turbo trainer 35:00 [3]

My new tax magnetic turbo trainer will arrive tomorrow and I can put this piece of junk in the bin. Working in a steady training zone here with some music and hopefully keeping the little brat next door awake.
