Not got results yet but I rekon I was about 8th or 9th. I'm pleased with this at the momebt as its a tough course and a similar time to what I've ran recently over much flatter courses.

The good thing about running around 18 mins is that there are lots of people in front of you. Im very tired layely with the increase in milage but I'll keep it at 50 for a while and I'm sure soon I'll see some improvement.

First session with one of the personal trainers at the EIS, the goal at first was to develop a gentle introduction to weights for runners, which would largely focus on variations of the squat.

Anyway, I can't squat and am the tightest person he has ever seen, he was even getting the other personal trainers in the gym to 'come and have a look' at how tight I am.

So we focused on imprving flexibilityt for the squat using a bar with no weight and my back on an exercise ball against the mirror. We then used some rops hanging from the wall to practise more squat like stretching.

More stretching and then 3 x 10 forward lunges with 25kg.

Run to Don Valley, joined fitness unlimited for 3 months so can use the track until it is demolished, the gyms and a swim if I fancy. 90 quid - not a bad deal as it cost me 4.50 to use the track today!

Planned on doing 10x400 (60s) but I was feeling really flat today and the first 3 70s reps were far too hard for the time. I decided to call it quits and do some speed work.

4 x 100m
4 x 80m
both with full recoveries.

I'll have an easy day tomorrow and do some mile reps on Thursday.
