First session with one of the personal trainers at the EIS, the goal at first was to develop a gentle introduction to weights for runners, which would largely focus on variations of the squat.
Anyway, I can't squat and am the tightest person he has ever seen, he was even getting the other personal trainers in the gym to 'come and have a look' at how tight I am.
So we focused on imprving flexibilityt for the squat using a bar with no weight and my back on an exercise ball against the mirror. We then used some rops hanging from the wall to practise more squat like stretching.
More stretching and then 3 x 10 forward lunges with 25kg.
