Running 14:49 [3] 1.91 mi (7:45 / mi)

Day 38
So after finishing nights on Monday I have been called back in to work nights again this weekend because of staff sickness and because there are new locum rate caps the shifts aren't filled so trust staff are now having to fill in more and more....

Despite having a cold yesterday things have eased today and I tried a jog to the station.

No tightness or pain on walking or repetitive single leg hops.

Felt fine for five monutes, after about 7-8 minutes started to tighten slightly and by 12 or so it was getting worse so I stopped just before getting to the station.

I was planning on seeing Kim on Monday but am not able to make it because of work so will try and arrange something for later on in the week.

Need to get cross training but struggling with motivation at the moment especially when everything in Hallamshire seems to be going the best it has for years,

Day 35
The deep massage yesterday seemed to help. No pain today on hopping or walking. I think I'll rest though as going to Stratford.

After finishing nights on Monday I've also come down with a bit of a cold, will get back to some proper cross training from next week onwards.

(rest day)

Was going to do another 10-15 today but had some tightness and pain in calf when doing single leg calf raises. Had a massage from Dom which seems to have helped things a bit.

Running 10:00 [3] 1.29 mi (7:45 / mi)

Flat run to my grandads. Managed to run for ten minutes. After about six I could feel a slight tightness in the left calf but nothing more, stopped and walked for a few minutes before running another four minutes pain free.

No pain afterwards on walking or hopping.

Note

14 hour night shift - very busy. No time to train. The NHS is falling to pieces, at least in Doncaster. Too many patients, too little time.

No pain in calf at all on walking, hopping or calf raising.

Will try a ten min run tomorrow I think, just to stay sane.

Note

13 hours @ work - nights. Very tired.

No pain in calf on walking, hopping or calf raising.

No time to exercise.

Being injured sucks.
