Easy run on The Wirral with Tom. Legs feeling very heavy and tired, not quite sure why - I think Thursday's session is still in my legs. I dont think I'm going to session tomorrow but instead do a steady run with Tom and if I'm feeling good i'll pick it up last few miles.

Planned session of Hallam Parkrun and some additional efforts but binned it after the first mile. I don't think I've quite recovered from Thursdays session. This is a good learning point because I now know that if I'm doing a hard lactic session where I am deep in the well then given my current strength it's going to take more than a few days to recover from.

Warmed down with Mike who had a strong run and then on for some strides. I did 10 15 second strides and my legs felt sharp and quick - strange.

I think it's good to try and turn these sort of days into something positive that you can learn from.

Run through the parks as easy as possible. Legs very tired from yesterday's session.


Weight 81.6kg's - That's now 6.1Kg's lost since end of February.

Session at the track with Dempsey who was doing something different at ridiculous speeds.

A really positive session. The aim being 10k pace for the mile, then 5km, 3km, 1500 and 800 pace respectively.

Things have settled down with my hip after a few days off and encoraging having Dempsey around as a source of inspiration. I felt comfortable and controlled on the mile , started working harder on the 1200 before things really started hurting on the 800.

Focused on maintaining form and not going to mad. Blew up after 200 on the last 400 and swam home.

Long shift. Feeling much better again today. Last of 3 rest days.

I'm not one for actually planning my sessions and following it, but I have a plan for the next few weeks up to and around the county champs - any feedback would be appreciated.
Finally worked out the Attackpoint picture thing.

Up with likely food poisoning last night. Vomiting and cramping abdominal pains. Called in sick, feeling better now a bit. Two long days Tue+Wed. I think I will just rest and not run until Thursday.
