Olallie Ridge: Feeding the Olallie addiction and thinking of fighter pilots. The radar was crystal clear with a forecasted 0% chance of rain. I am addicted to the 10 mile climb, because I went with science, ignoring that it was drizzling at home. As always, it rained harder as I drove to North Bend, but for the first time ever, the temp didn't fall five degrees as I drove up to Olallie, and it actually stopped raining. I've read that fighter pilots love to skim clouds and fly in and out of them. I rode up through a dense cloud and into the blue yonder up on the ridge. As I descended, I quickly dropped back into the now even thicker cloud.
