Olallie Ridge Advance Planning. Given the extended forecast and time of year, I planned some major riding for the last few weeks. I wanted to ride the higher trails a lot before snow shuts them down and I start riding my winter bikes in the rain. Raging River on Monday, Tiger on Tuesday, and Olallie today fit the bill. I changed my advance plan of riding GR-D-SE today when there was thick fog in Issaquah this morning. North Bend also had thick fog, but the pass was sunny, so I headed to Olallie in NB. As I drove up to the TH, the temp rose and I broke into brilliant blue skies 100' in elevation below the TH! I stuck to my plan of going easy on the climb, not wanting to dig a deeper fatigue hole in advance of another hard MTB climb on Friday. Today's pace, along with stopping to take photos, was a nice contrast to all of the hard riding I have been doing.
