GR/D Energy 9 Concentration mostly 9 Conditions: The frozen tundra is gone! The trails were softer and grippier. Conditions were good to excellent with some mud everywhere, except the south side of GR where the trails were just superb. Met Joe coming home. The softer dirt was easier on my cracked rib.

GR/D/H Energy 8 (with caffeine) Concentration mostly 8 Conditions:Still a little frosty, but about as good as it gets for mid-winter. Strava gave me a KOM on what looks like a nice climb called 284th SE. The problem is that I was on my MTB in the woods! I'm the only rider, and it shows I've ridden this segment one time??? On the other hand, Strava missed half of the segments at Duthie, the entire trip back up and over GR, and the GPS track shows me doing loops bushwacking on Tiger Mountain south of High Point!

Energy 6 with caffeine; tired legs when I woke up Concentration 7 Conditions typical winter. Last week the trails were firm, fast, and frosty. This week they are muddy and slow rolling. The sound of swaying trees groaning and creaking in the strong wind was nice, but I listened closely for the explosive crack of a tree about to crash to the ground!

Many walkers and tons of bikes, many of which I caught and passed on climbs and at Duthie. Bogus HR and speed/mileage sensor readings screwed up GPS. Estimate 21.4m/9.5AS
