ahr:128 max:153 weight:153lbs shoes: SW MTB 2014 Bling

Grand Ridge RT-WT2x What is a Snowbow supposed to look like? When I left on my ride, half of the sky was blue. Snowflakes were falling from the other half. First time on the Ferrari MTB since 2/2, and it was special.

Rainier Trail-Library. It would have been an excellent day to ride, but it was also an excellent day for a walk. I must remember that rest is good for me.

PP-HP-Grand Ridge-Duthie Kind of like Rory McIlroy shooting a 75. I had a bit of a bad day, but not a horrendous one. I was tired, and didn't concentrate or ride well.

PP-HP-Grand Ridge RT-WT2x Tiny bit of winter trail "dust" above 1000' and a lot of Tiger Mountain winter white from our windows. I can't remember a winter when there were more days with a white top on Tiger Mountain.

Sunset-Adventure-Park Pointe Trails Failed attempt at saving taxpayer dollars. I wanted to clear three fallen trees from the trails in Park Pointe. I discovered that the folding saw that the nice folks at King County gave me for such work is not a good enough tool to take care of 8" diameter trees. I was hoping to save DNR a trip. I discovered a new 2' diameter downed tree on the nearby Adventure Trail. That's a job for the pros in any case, so hopefully DNR can take care of the other trees as well.

PP-HP-Grand Ridge RT-WT 1x Sometimes you don't know what is going to happen until you are (literally) in the middle of something. There is a huge puddle on Puget Power Rd. on the way to High Point. I couldn't tell how deep it was, but no way was I getting off and "fording" a puddle. As the water crested my booties, I kept pedaling (what other choice did I have?), but I wondered if I was going to be like Curly from the Three Stooges and disappear into the "quicksand." I wound up in water about shin-deep, and I was glad I was on the winter bike as I submerged my hubs and BB.
