Grand Ridge-Soaring Eagle-Duthie Sun One and Done. After a dry day yesterday, things are back to "normal." Thursday's sun came after 19 straight days with rain, and 29 of the last 30...

Revisiting local climbs and sunshine. I have not ridden up Grand Ridge/Highlands (on a road bike) since November 3rd. It seems almost that long since the sun has shined.

DT Issy-Rainier Trail-Sycamore So this is what it's like to live in Forks? Maybe nineteen straight days of rain is just the beginning on the Olympic Peninsula, but it has to be a PR for me!

PP-HP-Grand Ridge-Duthie I wish the rain schedule better matched my ride schedule. During a normal winter, a lot of the time it seems to rain every other day. I've been riding every other day or so for the last few weeks, but today makes 18 straight days of rain. I did manage to get out after the morning rain, and before this evening's rain.

DT Issy-Hatchery-Creekside Trail Newsflash: Monsoon continues; riding less, walking more. It's rained hard all day without pause. Today makes 17 days of rain in a row, preceded by a one day break. Prior to that we had ten straight days of measurable rain. Good thing I love walking in the rain!

Grand Ridge-Duthie Busy trails but it never felt that way thanks to Tommy Timing. I passed 27 riders, and there were at least that many riding towards me, plus tons of hikers and runners. Without leaves on the trees visibility is good, and maybe I just encountered all of the people at the right spots on the trail. Tommy Timing today.
