Tiger Mountain Worn out, but not burned out. Today was my first day back from a week off from riding MTB. I was pretty tired, and that translated to a bit of staleness. Some road riding, including twice with Tracy, combined with a few rest days was all it took to fully recharge my battery.

With Tracy on our local Squak hike. It was really hard to take a DOB today, but getting out for a very easy paced hike was some consolation. Hopefully a bit of rest will pay off.

Lake Samm loop with Tracy on her inaugural Strava bike ride. Tracy's gets her first Strava "accomplishment," and it is a second overall. Not bad!

1.5+ Lakes (or an owl sitting on a branch) Just like the Tour de France. Haha. When I led the HOWC, I used to advertise it as a ride with "minimal stops." Actually, my preference is for zero stops, which is what I did today. Late in the ride, my motivation was to arrive home about the same time as Tracy, so we could shower and eat lunch together. TMI? Whoops, I forgot that I stopped 2.5 miles into the ride for my PT appointment.

Summit-Talus-Swedish Returning to my roots. I've been doing so much hard climbing on the MTB, road climbs have not even been on my radar. It felt good to do a couple of climbs that I have not done for quite a while. You know Talus is a hard climb when a long section of 12% grade seems like a relief after it follows a long section of 14%.
