Redmond-Kirkland-Medina: I'm changing my HD reco from long to short. Traffic was remarkably light, even if today was Sunday. But it is Saturday, Depot Day, and I have to surmise that it's time to unload that HD stock. The wave of home remodeling must have run its course. A lot seems to have changed since my last road ride on October 15th:)

Grand Ridge RT-Duthie-Soaring Eagle: Ride Home Run. I decided on the fly to do a pretty long and hard ride. I felt great, and the trails were in excellent shape and largely deserted. Besides, there is a trail running race at GR tomorrow, so I thought I would touch all of the bases today. No PR's, but it was a solid effort for the whole ride.

Grand Ridge RT: Wind is my frenemy. Big wind sucked up the moisture from the trails, but blew down a bunch of trees that I had to crawl over or around. I started the ride after noon because I had to blow all of the debris off of the roof and grounds, and out of the gutters. Of course, the wind makes all of our debris generating beautiful trees sound great. Last but not least, on a road bike a tailwind is your friend, and a headwind is a big-time enemy.

Grand Ridge: I'd rather be older, wiser, and warm than younger, cooler, and cold. The weather was decent at 50 degrees, but just shorts and a cotton t-shirt on wet, muddy trails on a fenderless MTB?
