HP-Grand Ridge Perfect Sweetspot plus a few bonuses. Having had a ton of fun riding full suspension again today (in a constant light-moderate rain), I was questioning the level of my commitment to riding a hardtail. But one is not "better" than the other; they are just so different. I can ride the same trails two days in a row and have a totally different experience (HT vs. FS), and there is no question that riding the HT makes me a better rider no matter what I am riding.

HP-Grand Ridge-HP The Plush was a Rush.I've been riding the hardtail recently, and it was nice to get back on a full suspension bike. I rode the World Cup a few weeks ago, but today was the first time I have ridden MAC this year.

GR-Duthie-Soaring Eagle: An end to the streak? We've had measurable rain at the house every day since January 4th. That's 26 days in a row. I rode under sunny skies for most of today's ride, and the thought did cross my mind as to whether the streak would end. As if to prove a point, it drizzled for 20 seconds as I rolled up to the garage, even though the skies were blue. I'm not going to count that. Looking at the radar, I think there is a decent chance that today will remain dry. But looking at the forecast makes me think we are going to start a new streak tomorrow!

Grand Ridge RT New Oakley day is almost as fun as new bike day...Especially when the glasses are the new EVZero with the Prizm Trail lens. The super light EVZ is by a wide, wide margin the most comfortable sport sunglass I have ever used. At no point was I even aware that I was wearing it: no touching the cheeks, no frame visible at any angle, no pressure on the bridge of my nose, and no interference with my helmet. The Prizm Trail makes the greens and browns really pop even on an overcast winter day, which is fantastic for MTB riding (or hiking). Of course, I have always been a bit of a sunglass junkie...
