Maple Valley-Renton-Eastgate: Lots of clueless people, including me. I had read that Hwy 18 would be closed, but I had forgotten about it. It looked like a morning rush hour on Issaquah-Hobart. I saw many cars loaded with mountain bikes that were headed to Tiger Mountain, and I felt sorry for what must have been very frustrated drivers forced to turn around and crawl back north in stop and go traffic.

Olallie: Shorted two months, we go straight from summer to November. Prior to today, it rained 11 of the last 12 days, totaling 4.66" at the house. Despite that, the trail was just damp, and I didn't need to be riding my wet weather bike. Never once did I lament not being on my "A+" bike, because MAC is an "A-" bike, and I have missed riding it the last 4 months. September's weather has been over the top wet!

PP-HP-Grand Ridge RT-Duthie: Getting reacquainted with an old friend. I rode the MAC (Mountain Ascent Cycle) for the first time in over 4 months. It's my wet weather bike, but in the summer I convert it (different bar/stem/saddle/seatpost) for Tracy to ride on our local gravel trails. Today was also the first time in months I have worn a shirt and baggy MTB shorts instead of bibs and a jersey.
