I thought about playing Tiger or Raging River, but I decided on Augusta National. Six "greenskeepers" were out at Grand Ridge and Soaring Eagle picking up branches and blowing copious amounts of leaves off of the greens, whoops, I mean trails! Why ride today on muddy trails at Tiger or RR? As I knew it would be, the GR-Duthie-SE trails were totally dry, but I was on the winter bike, as the RR is in the shop. Looking forward to the Masters in November.

Olallie Ridge: It smelled better than roses. I had zero interest in climbing hard today, so I "stopped to smell"...the forest. Wet PNW dirt and trees smell better than roses!

Redmond-Medina-DT BV-Eastgate: It's the hit and miss season. It started to rain just as I was getting ready to leave on my summer (dry roads only) road bike. Luckily, it only lasted thirty seconds. I rode under mostly sunny skies, but there was plenty of evidence of yesterday's wind storm. EZPZ to save energy for tomorrow.

Local smorgasbord: trails, gravel, roads, bike paths, DT Issy, and a park. But mostly mountains, trees, creeks, and lakes.

Grand Ridge OAB: First official "winter" ride but the winter bike was mostly overkill. Official because it rained (lightly) for over half the ride, and we turned the furnace on today. Despite 1.5" of rain overnight on Friday, for the first 75% of the ride, trail conditions ranged from bone dry to damp and grippy Hero Dirt. Only on the last part of the ride was the trail wet enough to justify the winter bike and its fenders. Gotta love how GR drains! First time riding MAC on trails since June 12th.
