Cycling 2:25:00 [3] 39.4 mi (16.3 mph) +2420ft
ahr:120 max:146 weight:148.8lbs shoes: SW road 2013

Medina-520-Redmond-KK: Busy Depot Day but no more 520 MSFT detour. I thought everyone was out of town this weekend? Depot (errand) Day traffic is back to where it was in the Before Time. No more 520 trail detours! KK stop for a free vaccination donut. Yum!

Friday May 28 #

MTB 1:31:00 [4] 15.8 mi (10.4 mph) +2067ft
ahr:115 max:150 weight:148.4lbs (injured) shoes: SW MTB 2014 Bling

Grand Ridge-Park Pointe: Nothing special. Other than it was a shorter ride than normal. The trails were in great shape after the recent rain. KCP is starting to de-brush the spring growth that have narrowed the trails. Cut ride short due to odd pain in right shoulder blade, but it was feeling better later in ride.

Walking 48:00 [1] 2.9 mi (3.6 mph) +300ft
shoes: Hoka Bondi 11

Syc-Rainier w/Tracy

Thursday May 27 #

Walking 53:00 [1] 3.1 mi (3.5 mph) +300ft
weight:148lbs (rest day) shoes: Hoka Bondi 11

Wednesday May 26 #

MTB 3:52:00 [4] 40.2 mi (10.4 mph) +4460ft
ahr:125 max:153 weight:147.8lbs shoes: SW MTB 2014 Bling

Grand Ridge RT-Duthie-Soaring Eagle: Blaze of Glory. I queried, and the dad at Duthie told me that Blaze was 3, to which he replied, "I'm almost 4!" Blaze is a tough name to live up to, unless he becomes a world mountain bike champion. He already handles his mini-bicycle (no training wheels) better than many adults, and I could tell he is a winner and a survivor-I bet he doesn't even cry when he falls off. Should he not pursue a bike racing career, he could always default to POTUS (Blaze is no more unusual than Barack), or CEO of Apple. It was great to see a sharp little kid out on the trail!

Tuesday May 25 #

Cycling 2:20:00 [3] 36.9 mi (15.8 mph) +2277ft
ahr:117 max:137 weight:147.6lbs shoes: SW road 2013

Mercer Island: "Just looking at you makes my legs hurt!" The climb wasn't hard, but I acknowledged the construction zone flagger with, "Yeah, but going up is the fun part!" Riding into a brisk wind for what seemed like 80% of the ride actually was hard, as was missing almost every possible traffic light!

Monday May 24 #

Walking 50:00 [2] 3.0 mi (3.6 mph) +600ft
(injured) (rest day) shoes: Hoka Bondi 11

WWood-up Sunset-down WWood-Forest. Able to do almost all strength and core exercises. Swelling way down

Sunday May 23 #

MTB 3:15:00 [4] 33.9 mi (10.4 mph) +3606ft
ahr:125 max:150 weight:148.6lbs (injured) shoes: SW MTB 2014 Bling

Grand Ridge RT-Duthie-Soaring Eagle: Weekend pace still a blast. It was not a day for PR's, Top Tens, or KOM's, although I did somehow pick up a soft one at SE. With crowded trails, only a fool would not back it way off. Lots of trail rookies out today. I rode in and out of mist, but the trails never were more than damp. Injuries never a factor riding. Less swelling/pain>ride
