Walking 1:06:00 [1] 3.6 mi (3.3 mph) +552ft
weight:148.6lbs (rest day) shoes: Hoka Bondi 6

Squak Mountain road walk with Tracy: Exercise in numbers. We walked up the hill for a bit of exercise. There were a lot more homes for sale than a few weeks ago. I also saw more cyclists (all solo) than usual, more than I have seen since I used to take the HOWC up Squak.

MTB 3:33:00 [4] 38.9 mi (11.0 mph) +4321ft
ahr:130 max:160 weight:149lbs shoes: SW MTB 2014 Bling

Grand Ridge RT-Duthie-Soaring Eagle: Scratching the impossible seven year itch. I broke my 2015 PR on the full Grand Ridge east climb on the south side, and threw in an eight year itch (2014) for good measure on the first half of it. This is not supposed to be possible, as it is not like I am just entering the age of peak fitness. HaHa Father Time! My Ride Hard Mojo has returned. Strava tells me that I ridden up this climb over 400 times, and today was the quickest of them. cE9+ RE7-9+ Crowded trails for a weekday.

MTB 1:00:00 [3] 15.2 mi (15.2 mph) +901ft

Local gravel Preston OAB: Spring has gotta be just around the corner. It has rained on 13 of the last 15 days, and we've mostly skipped spring. At this point, I think it would be nice if summer at least made a brief appearance!

MTB 3:20:00 [4] 35.2 mi (10.6 mph) +3893ft
ahr:119 max:148 weight:150lbs shoes: SW MTB 2014 Bling

Grand Ridge RT-Duthie-Soaring Eagle: Stuck in the middle with (of) you. As happens fairly often, an oncoming rider called out, "Hey there, Tom." I didn't recognize the voice, and of course, I didn't recognize either rider, because I wasn't looking at their faces. I almost never do, as I focus on the center of the bike-rider mass, around the chest to stomach area. I'm always looking for a clue as to which way a bike is headed when it is approaching me, and the middle of the rider is the best indicator. cE7.5 RE7-7.5

Cycling 2:20:00 [3] 40.5 mi (17.4 mph) +2588ft
ahr:123 max:147 weight:150.6lbs shoes: SW road 2013

Redmond-Medina-Newcastle: Not your typical kind of race. When I got the "hour out" call from the plumber, I figured I was about an hour from home via the most direct route. I took a slightly longer route to make it interesting, and used that as motivation to pick up the pace a little. I made if home with time to spare. E9 RE7-8
