newton no-street-o, by way of brendan. lots of fun! missed 2 by a house but corrected. screwed up 9 due to trickiness - and could tell it had gotten someone else as well - footprints in the snow. minus points on 10 for a possibly poor route choice, and on 11 due to getting dead-ended. saw it coming, but optimistically thought i could cut through back yards. optimism never pays off.

hadn't been much of a running week - work monday, climbing tuesday, weather and wussiness wednesday, and a dog doing puke-intervals thursday. decided to skip climbing today and fit in a shot at a tempo run, per ian's suggestion. and had a great run! accomplished a crapton of goals in the process
- hoped to do the full 20 minutes <4:30/k
- wanted to do two consecutive sub-7 miles
- finally did three laps of fresh pond
- did a solid 5k by tacking on a few more minutes
- actually did a cool down
- actually stretched
- alicia made me some chocolate milk afterwards

pacing at that speed is hard. felt pretty good during, feel good after, and didn't even get that deep into the pain cave. bet i could do better. good times, good times. calves felt it a bit.

heartrate blip during the warm up. issues already with the notorious soft strap? gps blip mid-run, but it gets averaged out, so it's all good.
