Had a nice walk along the beach this morning. I've been here (Scarborough, UK) for almost a week and today was the first time that I saw the sun.

I think I ate too much at dinner tonight. Perhaps too much blood rushed to my stomach and not to my brain. The net effect is that I left my bag (I mean my Man Purse) at the restaurant. I ended up jogging back to the restaurant around midnight. Though it was more like an AR shuffle, I fell much better afterwards.

Never realized how hilly and windy coastal town can be. It was dark, windy, cold and hilly during this morning's run. It was good to get out and work off all that food.

But when the pitch of the hill and the head wind is stronger than my running forward force, it's best to just walk.

Aerobics 1:00:00 [3]

I had a good Aerobic dance class this morning. The normal instructor was not here. In a way, it was good. She is normally so motivating that I tend to over do it and hurt something. I kept my heart rate reasonable but was able to loosen my joins.

I almost had a mishap.

I normally wear my 5 Finger Vibram shoes to this class. Part of this aerobic routine calls for a 360 degrees turn jump. So I'm not sure whether it was because I initiate the turn while my feet was still on the ground, or that 5 Finger Vibram is not made for that turning type of motion, or that its sole was too sticky, but, just as I was airborne, I felt my shoe coming off. :P

Fortunately, only 2 of the 5 fingers (toes actually) was slipping, was I able to recover before I landed.

Whew! That was a close one. With the centripetal force of a 360 turn? I laughed as I wondered the consequences of what would happen if that shoe had become airborne. :)

Easy workout tonight. But not by choice. Just too many things going on at work.

I find that sometimes, lots of work at work motivates me to exercise more, but other times, it makes me to just want to behave like a vegetable in front of the TV.

To get out my Vegetable status, I spent about 10 minutes trying to learn the Gangnam Style dance steps, after which, I couldn't get that tune, nor that hip movement, out of my head.

After Monday's hard workout, I thought I take a rest Tuesday. But today, I felt worst. Sometimes not doing anything is worst than a slow easy workout.

I had planned to leave work early for a short run in the sunlight, but by the time I got out, it was well after 6 pm. I don't like running on country roads in this New Brunswick small town at night. My imagination takes over with images of wild animals, Deliverance and Resident Evil.

Wow! That was a tough aerobic class today. It was more like an interval training boot camp. At the end, as I was doing sit-ups, my abs hurt so much that I fell like throwing up.

But I did hit a max heart rate of 178 during one of the 'kick your leg, and jumping jack' routines.

Right now, the only thing that does not hurt is my tongue.

I had forgotten how wonderful it feels to run in the sunlight - the cool air and the appreciation of... just the ability and freedom to run.

As the rays of the warm sun felt upon my face, I thought about what the metaphor 'the sun itself see not til heaven clears' could mean.

As I approach a field of rocks, I thought about whether I can do the 'Gangnam Style' dance over that without breaking my ankle.

Life is good, but the mind is silly.

Awesome Hip Hop aerobic class today! On the second routine, the instructor gave us a preview of the next release. It has a lot of 'Ninja Kicks'.

I couldn't do the kick routine very well. But I figure, if they are Ninja kicks, that means I can do, or not do them, and you won't see it (?) :P

Actually, it was hard for me to pick up the kick and the hip roll at the same time. I can imagine a martial arts situation where you want to kick, or a dance floor situation where you want to hip roll. But, I can't imagine a situation where you would do one right after the other.

Went to the Salomon Sales yesterday. Got some good stuff; and had a good chat with some old and new friends. I am particularly pleased with the Advance Skin S-Lab pack. Tried it out on a short run today, Very stable and lots of pockets. I added a supplementary light and a iTouch holder to the front strap. I don't think I would actually use the iTouch holder, it was just something to do. :P

Lasts weekend, it was a beautiful and warm day. So I decided to clean up and clean out the garage. I guess from the lifting and moving of boxes and tools, etc..., my back is sore again. I can still workout, but the left side is very tight.

Arrrgh!

So now, I have a sign up, 'Warning, housework can be dangerious to your health. It should only be attempted by a trained professional.' :P
