What a control-picking! I made some misstakes and didn't quite have the legs.

Tuesday May 23

Running (road) hills 1:15:00 [3]
Running through the city of Kassel and then up, up, up and up. Down again and back to the hotel

Wednesday May 17

Orienteering race 29:52 [4] ***** 4 km (7:28 / km)
spiked:10/10c
Middle-distance Club Champs. Navigation good but the flu has me on my knees every slope. Legs and lungs don't work. Thank god for the brains....
Running (road) warm up/down 10:00 [1]
I was almost late to start...

Saturday May 13

Orienteering race 2:17:54 [2] ** 141 km (59 / km)
spiked:9/11c (injured)
A re-run of the first WOC in 1966. The map 1:25000 was the one from 1966 but digitized and completed with new forest roads. New roads made navigation considerably easier but otherwise the terrain has gone through surprisingly few changes. The terrain is one of the best in contry and I strongly feel we should bring the WOC back to Fiskars for the 50-year anniversary.

Ththe tarrain got the better out of me. I got completely exhaused, as I'm still with the flu, generally in bad shape and never good for more than 1h 30 min of running. Leg cramped as I stubled at the end like happened in Jukola last year.

Thursday May 11

Running (woods) (with map) 1:00:00 [1]

Wednesday May 10

Orienteering 45:02 [3] 6.2 km (7:16 / km)
spiked:9/11c

Sunday May 7

Note
(sick)
Woke up wit a sore throat. Spent the whole day outdoors but decided to skip training.

Saturday May 6

Running (woods) 1:00:00 [3]

Wednesday May 3

Orienteering 58:00 [3] 6.4 km (9:04 / km)
spiked:7/13c
Kosti's course used the smallest ever features on the map, as usual. One should know already. Several small misstakes in the last 50 m but only one bigger parallel misstake (as I lost concentration thinking about some recent sad events). I had to take it easy in the middle of the race but got to speed up at the end anyway. Overall, Not good.
