I started at the western end of Jesusita and followed it past Inspiration point. At a latter point, I turned left onto another trail that T-junctions to the one I was running on and followed that trail north, up into the mountains. In comparing my GPS track to a topographic paper map, looks like that trail eventually leads to the Tunnel Trail. I went up it until I was 1:15 hours out, then turned back, making it back home in 1:05 hours (since the way back is more often downhill). I made sure to give the right of way to people moving in the opposite direction, especially when I was moving downhill. I have to make sure I don't step into poison oak when I do that, though. I should drink some electrolyte solution (probably about 500 ml) before the run, as well as after the run. I should get to the trail about 40-50 minutes before sunrise. I did wear a hat with a visor this time, I should do that in the future on this type of run.
