On this day, I volunteered as a mentor at a hackathon for high school kids in NYC, which was organized by my high school computer science teacher. I was thinking, if I can't hack it like these kids can, perhaps I can help them de-bug it a little better :-). Unfortunately, no one's project had any natural science in it at all, so I couldn't be of much real help. For me personally, on the other hand, this was a very good experience: I saw some old friends, in general got to interact with some really progressive and intelligent folks, and was inspired by the brilliance of the hackers.
