Cycling 5:27:27 [3] 81.56 mi (4:01 / mi)
ahr:133 max:165
Woke up feeling really rested, the fatigue was gone. Walked dog for 5 miles in the morning, and then went biking in the afternoon. This is the first day that I rode my new bike after riding it home from the shop. It's so fast and easy to ride! Plus I had a tailwind for much of day. Rode from Edmonds to Maltby to Carnation to Redmond, and home. Was probably longer than 81 miles because I kept forgetting to turn on my HRM, and I wasn't using my cyclometer (can't get it to work on my new bike!) Anyway, 81 is what my HRM said. Guessing my max was 165; my HRM recorded 192 which is a mistake.
It's such a pleasure going up and down hills. But the last 15 miles of the ride were really painful. My lower back was killing me, and my rear end too. Although Smiley knocked the seat on my other bike, it's a heck of a lot more comfortable than the one he put on the new bike.
Ate and stopped / stretched frequently during the ride, much more so than I normally would. As soon as I got home, I put my legs up, then showered and put on the compression socks. Ate spaghetti for dinner, something I never do. Slept in my compression socks.
