Event: Salomon Snowshoe Raid 3 hour Adventure Run

Orienteering 2:29:00 [4]
Snowshoe RAID with the hot shot lawyer. Overall I'm very happy with this race. This was the first real test for my back/hip since I had injured it. The last hour it was hurting on the steep climbs, but that was it. My fitness was pretty bad though. Felt like a zombie for the second part of the course, but just tried to run when I could and we walked the rest. Looking forward to Raid the Rib.
C • Better! 2

Monday Feb 18

Note
(rest day)
After 2 days of moderate activity I slept like shit because my leg was screaming out in pain as the muscles tightened up. Decided that today I will limit my activity to just my physio and ride again tomorrow.

Sunday Feb 17

Hiking/Walking 1:00:00 [1]
Today was all about testing my body for next weekend. Kristen and I headed out for a snowshoe to see if I could handle next weekend's snowshoe RAID. The nice thing was with all the new snow we could do this in the park behind our apartment rather then having to drive somewhere, which was nice because the weather forcast was for freezing rain. My leg held up pretty good and I was even able to run for short bursts. Next weekend should be ok, but I may just be limited to a fast walk for the whole event.

Saturday Feb 16

Cycling 50:00 [3]
Added some more time on the trainer. Leg is still sore, but getting better.

Tuesday Feb 12

Cycling 30:00 [1]
A very light ride on the trainer. Physiotherapist said it was ok to give it a try. Once my legs were warmed up a bit there was minimal pain.
C • Glad to have you back. 4

Sunday Feb 3

Note
(injured)
Woke up this morning feeling a bit more limber. It's not hurting as much to stand up straight and sitting is almost normal now. Looks like I should be ok for my trip tomorrow.
