A bit more fresh snow last night so decided to grab my older skies and go along the grand river trail. Some sections of deep snow and other sections of fresh snow on top of a well travelled trail. Very fun morning taking advantage of the last weekend of winter around here.

So in my hips and my left ankle which I rolled at some point yesterday, but otherwise pretty good.

Was doing a spinning session in the basement because I didn't want to push it running in case I was hurt for tomorrow. First 30 min went well, but then I started to feel the glutes tighten up. I decided to stop for fear I ended up hurt for tomorrow.

Orienteering race 2:25:00 [4]

Stars WAR.

I love orienteering on this map. I find it both challenging, but given the trail network also fun because there are good sections of running. The conditions this year really didn't warrant snowshoes which also made it quite fast. We decided at the start to drop 2 x 20 pts because we thought we couldn't clear the whole thing. Made a few mistakes out there, but nothing drastic and we could recover quickly. Control description would have helped a few times. In the end our decision was the right one because we cleared the rest of the controls and finished with less than 5 min to spare. Bob smoked the course, but of course he won't have as much training time as the rest of us.
