Running 1:00:00 [3]

Run after work, ran to the Grand River trail and out to Bingamans before turning around and running home.

Used the new Fenix headlamp I bought on Dr. E's suggestion, I really really like this lamp. At the 2nd lowest setting it was bright enough to run in the woods. At the highest setting it was crazy bright.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [3]

Orienteering 1:11:00 [4]

This could have gone a lot better. Was running well into the first box, but lost my focus and couldn't remember if I had visited 'C' yet or not. Ended up back at it to be sure and realized I had been there already. Took me a bit to get my focus back. The extra section gave me some trouble as I was getting tired, need to get back out training more, and wasn't focusing the way I should. Back onto the previous map and I ran this a lot better.

I really enjoyed this course because it was a lot of short quick little legs.

Note

Seeing as all I do all day these days is sit at a computer and test/debug firmware I have time inbetween compiles to surf the web. Noticed today that 2 races have updated their website.

Explore Sweden and Huairasinchi. Both could be very interesting. I just wish the Bergson Winter Challenge would hurry up and annouce if they're holding a race this year or not.......

Cycling warm up/down 25:00 [3]

Cycling race 41:37 [5]
ahr:170 max:179

Today's race went really well. I got off the line at a quick pace and was able to get in just behind the leaders. Avoided 2 crashes on the 1st lap and from there on just worked to hold off the guys behind me and pick up Master riders as the laps counted down.

As a side note I decided to wear my heart rate monitor today because I was curious what the average and max were for the race. I was a bit surprised to see that I average about 170 bpm for the 49 min race. That would explain why I feel like I'm at the max for the whole race.
