Running 2:15:00 [3]

Good early morning run with Mr. Funderstorm around the WCC trails. Glad he came out to run with me as it was much more fun than doing this on my own.

Note

After reading about the Little 500 (http://velonews.competitor.com/2012/04/news/62nd-a...) I was left thinking we need more events like this in Ontario.

Then I came across the World Adult Run Bike Championships being held in Mansfield this year (http://www.victorias100.com/Canadas_100_Mile_Mount...). I unfortunately can not go, but hopefully others will to support events of this type.

Felt stiff after basketball last night took me a while for my legs/back to loosen up on this run. Nice bright sunshine out this morning.

Wild B.O.A.R. #3

My second year doing the B.O.A.R. and as always it was a great time. With Euro-Leanne and Plastic-Mari on my team we had a great time for 4 hours playing in the woods around Bolton. We started from the back on the paddle, but were able to make up some places on the bike by following the map very carefully, I found on this section the most accurate way to navigate was to be careful of contours as we road. Onto the trek and all teams but one were together for the start. We hit A4 a bit off and didn't go far enough up one end of the river, we quickly decided to bail and move on not wanting to get cut off. CP15 also gave me a bit of trouble after I didn't read one of the valleys correctly on the map. Race ended with me and Lee running the road on tow the whole way home trying to make the cut-off. In the end we missed it by 6 seconds (easily the time lost of CP15).

After race social was killer with my favourrite dish being the lentil salad.

Thanks Angus and Happy Birthday.

Orienteering race 3:50:00 [4]

Rib Raid in St. Catherines. A great battle all day with Salomon Suunto. The whole race I was waiting for them to pull away from us, which they did a bit on the road, but then we pulled ahead in the bearing section and ran scared the whole way home. A great course and weather to make for a really fun day.
