Also tried using Accelerade for the first time today. I didn't think I'd like this drink, but after reading some good reviews I'd have to agree. In the heat it definitely was easier to digest then E-load. | ||

| Found out tonight that Dathan passed away on Monday. He was the head mechanic at Sport Swap and had been fighting cancer in his lungs for over a year now. This was a guy who just loved to ride. I think at one point he owned more then 10 bikes and could explain to you why he needed each and every one of them.
I owe a lot to Dathan because he's done a lot to help me out, either through the store, or on his own. Visitation is tonight and the Funeral is tomorrow. The Toronto MTB community has lost one of its great riders. | ||

| Day 1 of the MS Bike Tour. Pretty fun day riding with some old friends in London. Day 1 is always at a high temp as we race from Grand Bend to London. Highlight of the day had to be the 10 minutes I spent pulling a line of 7 riders ranging in pace from 36 to 40 km/h. | ||

| Ride to work. Took a different route north and this was definitely a good idea. I got to climb a few larger hills and ride in the diamond lane most of the way, plus it saves my 15 minutes of time spent dinking around the don valley trails. | ||

| Out for a ride with Pixie, my sister and one ball. Tried to go riding at Kelso, but they were closed because of all the rain. Apparently I missed all this so called rain.... Tried riding at Hilton Falls, but it was pretty much either walking the bike along the rock or rolling along double track with the girls. Definitely not the best thing to do with two wheels. Oh well, on the up side one ball is thinking of putting a team into the 24 hour race and we may all ride on it.
On a sad note I reallized why I've been having problems with my saddle. Apparently I've bent the bars on it. I keep telling Pixie I need to loose some weight so I can climb like the guys in the Tour. Guess this just helps that argument. 165 pounds here I come!!!! | ||

| Just not feeling the motivation right now. I think partially because I don't have any big races coming up for the rest of the year. For me a big race has to be in the 24 hours range, or else mentally I just find it hard to prepare the same way. This probably has something to do with the fact that I just get killed in the shorter races. I think this week will be really light and then hopefully I can refocus for the rest of the year. | ||
