| Not sure of the official time for this. Overall the race wasn't too bad, but a flat tire on the bike followed by a missed turn and an extra 14 k of biking basically knocked us out of the race. Course was too short after that to really make any time back. Sounds like this race was a bit of a disaster from a race organizers side of things. Felt bad for my sister who helped us support and had to see a lot of that. Still she had a good time and said she'd come back to help us again. The team raced really well together, with me being the slowest on foot by far. Too bad there was so much running and hardly any trekking. Ended up fourth overall, was disappointed I think because I'd been expecting a much longer race and being done so early left you feeling you'd missed out on something.
That said Geoff may be on to something. With all the teams finishing during the Saturday evening it made for a nice social atmosphere after the race. We could then some sleep before the drive home the next day. He could move the post race meal from dinner to a greasy breakfast, do the awards by 10 and we're on the way home. |

| Overall I took it easy on this one. Went out hard the first lap and was able to stay with the leader until the second hill, he pulled away at that point and I shut it down to enjoy the next two laps. |

| Consists of trying to run a number of different hills in the area, time on the hills ranged from some slower ones that take 1:30 to climb and a very steep one that only takes 30 s to climb. Guess this is one of the problems of living by the lakeshore, quite flat. |

| ARC Enduro up at Bracebridge. Another great course from Bob Miller. Started out well for the first 5 minutes, then missed the turn off for the snow mobile trail. Since we were leading (shocking) everyone else just followed up. Ended up turning back and getting on course again, had to catch a number of teams from there in the rest of the trek. The remaining trekking points were fine and we pulled out of the trek in first place with about a 3 minute lead. From there we were able to bike really well and apparently our lead was roughly 20 min at the end of the bike. Paddle was unexciting until we started to pull away from the portage and realized we'd dropped the SI unit. I had to run back to almost the start of the portage to pick it up (sitting on the ground in the middle of the road). Lucky for us no one was close so it didn't affect the race after all. Good push by NJ and EJ to make it two in a row for them.
