Sunday Dec 30, 2007 #

XC Ski 1:30:00 [2]

Out for a ski at Hilton Falls with Kristen, Eddie and the Juice Box. I'll call this a 2 to factor in the multiple stop/restarts for waxing and to deal with a crying baby (Juice Box not Eddie).

Stretching (Yoga for Flexibility) 30:00 [1]

Saturday Dec 29, 2007 #

Hiking/Walking 2:00:00 [1]

Out for a hike with Pixie at Forks of the Credit.

XC Ski 1:10:00 [3]

Off to Milton for a night ski with EJ. This proved to be interesting since my light was dead before we even started. Tried to stay on EJ's ass so I could see as we went.

Cycling intervals 24:00 [4]

15-30-45-100-115-130-115-100-45-30-15, 15s off inbetween, times 2.

Cycling 45:00 [2]

My gluts were really sore from the walk yesterday and strength on Friday, a nice light ride on the trainer watching 24 and the snow outside.

Stretching (yoga for runners) 20:00 [1]

A new DVD that a friend burned for me. Not that impressed with it overall. I do Yoga as a forced way to stretch out my legs, didn't feel like I was getting a great stretch for the amount of time it took. She put a second one on the DVD called Yoga for Flexibility, maybe this will be better.

Hiking/Walking 2:50:00 [1]

Kristen and I went out for a hike near Turkey Point. My goal was to be out for 3 hours, to keep a steady pace, and to do it with Kristen (i.e. rather then just going and training without her). This worked pretty well, although the area could really use some hills.

Strength 50:00 [1]

This should be more strength then weights since I'm currently in Simcoe today. Modified my routine to use my body weight for some strength work. Finished it off with some stretching.

Tour of America, this could be very interesting to watch next year.

Running 20:00 [2]

Warm up and cool down.

Running tempo 31:00 [5]

Can't remember the exact time for the Rally run. I had a good run overall, although along the finish loop it was too slippery to actually be able to put on a finishing kick.

Tuesday Dec 11, 2007 #

Strength 1:00:00 [1]

Running intervals 20:00 [5]

Tonight was double pyramids, 1-2-3-2-1, 1-2-2-1, 1-1 with 1 min rest in between each one. Tonight we stay on the flat field, which meant we skipped the hill, but also meant there was no recovery time allowed during the downhill. Good running with such a great athlete.

Running 40:00 [3]

Covers the rest of the workout.

Monday Dec 10, 2007 #

Cycling intervals 24:00 [5]

2 sets of 15-30-45-100-115-130-115-100-45-30-15 w 15s rest between each.

Cycling 50:00 [3]

Rest of the time on the trainer.

Stretching 10:00 [1]

Legs were really sore during the intervals so I ended the ride early and spent extra time stretching.

Sunday Dec 9, 2007 #

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Before the Thomass.

Orienteering race 1:03:00 [4]

Thomass Chase. Not a bad run for me. Was feeling tired during the first half. Good course and great practice.

Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

On the trainer afterwards.

Friday Dec 7, 2007 #

Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

Light ride on the trainer watching Jack save the world.

Thursday Dec 6, 2007 #

Strength 1:00:00 [1]

Running warm up/down 28:00 [3]

Warm up before the rally route.

Running tempo 31:37 [4]

Rally Run with a modified second loop since the east side of the park was way to sketchy. I wanted to try and keep the two longer loops close, which I did accomplish. Probably could have picked up the pace a bit more, but I can still feel remnants of the cold lingering around. Good workout overall.

The workout ended with me watching the police handcuff some young lady and put her into the car as she cried, made me wonder what she got caught doing.

Tuesday Dec 4, 2007 #

Cycling intervals 24:00 [4]

15-30-45-1m-115-130-115-1m-45-30-15 sprints with 15s recovery, times 2.

Cycling hills 8:00 [4]

4 2 min hills with recovery.

Cycling 58:00 [3]

Rest of the time on the trainer, includes warm up and cool down, time between intervals/hills and some leg isolation work.

Running intervals 27:00 [5]

Swedish pyramids, 1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1 with 1 min inbetween. Felt like crap for all of this, which was shown by how quickly Pillar ran away from me.

Running warm up/down 33:00 [2]

Warm up and down.
