Aubrey is at Bingeman's camp again this week so that means mountain biking back and forth with the trail-a-bike.
Picked her up tonight and then rode home.

On the last downhill Aubrey complained that the ride was so short and there were no more downhills. So we agreed after dinner we could go out again. This time k-way joined us on her mountain bike. We extended the ride as well to add more trail in. I was pretty wrecked at the end pulling her around.

2 laps of the Grand Valley trail. First lap was with K-way before she had to go and pick up the Aub from her sleep over. Re-filled by bottles and headed out for lap 2. Both laps were consistent in time.

Another run along the trail with the weighted pack. Did a lot of squats this morning as well, so legs were tired by the end of today. A good stretching session afterwards.

Ran down to Bingeman's and back with a weighted pack. Pack weight was 13 lbs, but I'm going to see if I get get it up another 5 lbs for the next run.

Long Run Fail.

About an hour into my run I was cutting across a small trail from a road to a chipped gravel trail. Not sure if I disturbed a nest or it's just a one off, but it ended with a wasp sting right on the back of my achilles.

Given my history with wasps I stopped running and walked home from there. By the end of the day my foot was really quite swollen (think major cankles).

Run fail, was attempting to do intervals in the park, but started to feel my left leg so rather than make it worse I stopped. The light jog home was fine, seems to be related to the harder effort.

Loop around the Grand River. A lot of the trail on the back side of the river was really over grown. Felt strong the whole way which was a major boost to my confidence. No issues/niggles/pain.

Ran the Grand Valley trail to the end and back. It was pretty hot near the end and I was hurting the last 30 min. Otherwise was good to get my first long run in since Western.

About 2 hours later had some sharp pain in the top of my left leg. Was feeling better the next day. I suspect there is still some damage to the quad from western that is not fully healed when i started to swell after the run this caused the pain.
