Great run this morning. I felt relaxed for the first hour and didn't feel I was pushing too hard, but yet I was running faster than I have in a while speed wise. Last 20 min I started to tighten up, but I just focused on trying to stay relaxed and not pushing too hard. Think I'm ready for Eastern States given my current fitness.

Long run fail. Headed out for what was supposed to be a long run, legs felt really tired. After an hour had to take a break as I was feeling really tired. After some food and a break I started again, but 20 min later I was walking again. Decided to shut it down and walk home. Ended up sleeping for 2 hours in the afternoon.

A really fun morning helping out with Summit 700. First thing was I ran from our campsite over to the start line.

Next step was a pre-ran the 10 km course to check the course marking. Ran into Heidi along the top. Kuddos to Greg for finding me a coffee after this as I still hadn't had one and was feeling like something was missing.

This was more a hike than a run. Last job of the day was to sweep the 10 km course. Early on I just hung out behind the last runners at a distance and cheered everyone on as they climbed the hill. I even had the chance to see K-way pass by and harassed her for a bit. Then me and the last runner started moving together. I had such a better experience than last year as she wanted to talk with me so we chatted as she moved through the course. I did my best to try and encourage her along the way. Overall a very fun day. Afterwards we went into the village and did some mini putt and Aubrey rode the ridge runner, then back to the campsite to swim and "rage".

From my door ran down to Chicopee in the most direct route. At Chicopee I then did 15 hill repeats, originally I thought I could do 20, but I was maxed out after 15. Then ran the same route home with a stop in the Zehrs (time removed) to purchase more water.
