I've talked a friend of mine into aiming for a 100 mile road ride in early fall. I say talked him into it because up until he rode the MS bike tour rides with me he had only ridden twice this year (I think being home with the pandemic really put him into a funk). So today the plan was close to 80 km to start building up. We had a brief stop at 40 km in Linwood to refill water and then an unplanned 30 min stop to change a flat that ended up with us going through 2 tubes and 2 different pumps. A fun ride with the heat coming up as we went along and my friend seems re-energized by these plans.

Decided it was time to wrap up the GVRAT. Headed out early for a long walk. Decided that I was going to do all of this in KW using urban trails since that's what I had walked most of the way already. To get in the distance I ended up going all the way to the north end of the city and all the way down to Fairview road. No repeats except for one section of the trail because it was a big loop. All done the virtual race and looking forward to being done and having time to bike more.

Also if the results are correct then I ended up in 5491 place which I'm happy with considering at one point I was all the way down in 16000 when I was injured.
