Woke up at 5 am with plans of a longer run before gymnastics. It was pouring rain outside. Given that I'd gone to bed at midnight I decided to turn off the alarm, roll over and go back to bed.

Run to daycare and then to work. My right lower back is really sore today after basketball last night. Think I'm going to have to see someone about this because it's been bugging me for a while and it's not getting better with just stretching and foam rolling.

Morning run in the mountains where I'm staying in Burbank. My boss joined me for the first bit, but turned around after 25 min near the first peak. I continue along the ridge for a while and then turned around followed the same path home.

Good hard run in the Verdugo mountain park.

Run with heavy pack. Pretty chilly out there today considering yesterday's run was -1 the whole time. Headed to the park to avoid any extra time on open roads. One of the those beautiful mornings where the sun is bright and there's no clouds in the sky. To bad the sun doesn't come up until after 7:30 so I still spend most of the time running with a headlamp.
