Great fun with Simply down in Ohio. Simpy and I set out with a plan to clear the course. The first half had a lot of longer stretches in between controls and it seems there was one other fellow with a similar route choice as us, but otherwise we just kind of kept moving control to control. Near the south west portion of the map we took a different route than the other runner and ours was definitely the right choice as we pulled ahead of him by a few controls. We then had some longer running sections which really taxed us with the heat. Stopped at the corn maze for cold drinks and peaches and then continued with a longer road section. Later in the day some rain fell which brought a bit of relieve, but still high humidity. The later half of the map had controls that were much closer together so we started picking them off much quicker. Second last control of the day and I made a nav mistake which probably cost us 10 min, we had one other mistake earlier in the day, but otherwise nailed the other 70 controls.

A really fun race and the food was really good afterwards. Both Simpy and I were spent by the end. Glad we made the trek down to try this event, would definitely do it again.

Slightly shorter run today as I had to get to the dentist for 8. Nothing special, just a run, although felt pretty good throughout. So I'm recovering well right now.

Back at Chicopee. Was able to fit in 8 repeats without stopping or walking, definitely seeing the improvement week to week.
