As part of the CMTR we decided to organize an Egg Nog Jog. 4 laps of the track and you drink a cup of egg nog before each lap. Kristen substituted Chai Latte for egg nog since she's pretty sure she would have thrown up just having to smell it. Heidi had something with rum. Only Barb and I met the challenge head on. Felt fine throughout with no issues drinking that much egg nog. Later in the night though...... Let's just say the family did not appreciate the challenge.

Walked 12 km today then came home and decided it was time to finally defrost the freezer and clean it out, been saying a will do that for more than a year.

Note

So saw a sports medicine doctor this week.

The diagnosis is that I have spondylolysis on my left side of the back on my L4. The take away from the doctor was

1. It may heal it may not, who knows, but it's not severe enough for surgery
2. I need to continue to build up back strength to compensate for item #1
3. I will need to test how far I can run before I have pain and that's probably my limit
4. Focus on what I want to prioritize and drop other things (like basketball) as the twisting combined with pressure on my back is just going to aggravate it.
