Three Sisters Mountains Circumnavigation/Run solo.

Killer day! Started at 6:15am from Lava Camp trailhead off of Hwy 242 and ran clockwise heading out towards Green Lakes to start and looped around to the west side for the back half. The most beautiful and most rewarding journey of my life. Pure bliss! I should do more solo stuff like this. Sometimes it's nice to take a step back from racing and set out solo.

Totally self supported. Stopped frequently to snap pics, fill bladder and bottle in creeks and pop purification tablets in and briefly chat with people on the trail. Even though I used the table with split distances and notes from Volcano Running I had to frequently check the map because there are plenty of spots that can throw you off course easily if you're not familiar with it.

Run 27:00 [1] 1.67 mi (16:10 / mi)

Family hike cool down when I returned. Glad I did this as it made the legs feel better.

Another mellow DRT

Glad I pushed back circumnavigation to Sunday. It looks pretty cloudy up there and I hear there's some rain at Waldo 100k. Tomorrow's forecast looks sunny with cooler temps than we've had. Plus hopefully the rain will clear the air.

Run 30:58 [2] 4.0 mi (7:45 / mi) +107ft 7:33 / mi
shoes: Hoka Stinson Evo

Mellow DRT run.

Feel really good overall but have had some tightness in my low back this last week. Feels much better when I run since it's probably from sitting at work.

I'm keeping and eye on weather to see if I go tomorrow or switch to Sunday.

Run 30:18 [2] 4.0 mi (7:35 / mi) +98ft 7:24 / mi

Mellow DRT run.

Weather calls for isolated thunder activity on Saturday so I have to keep an eye on that. I don't want to risk being out in the middle of nowhere when lightning sparks a possible fire. May have to move circumnavigation to Sunday.
