Orienteering 1:20:00 [4] 7.5 km (5.6 kph)

With no H3 options I tackled the H2. Not what I wanted to do as I was sore from yesterdays hockey. Reasonably clean except for the last control. A 2m error would not have occurred if the control description had been read. With all the drought the map is a lot more open than I remember.

Hockey 1:10:00 [4]

Lucky to survive a Carlton comeback after being 3-0 up at half time but finishing off at 3-2

Friday Apr 25, 2014 #

Cycling 3:21:02 [4] 81.9 km (24.4 kph)

Fantastic day for a ride around the river with komy.

Cycling 3:31:50 [3] 91.9 km (26.0 kph)

Pleasant ride to Two Rocks with a tail wind, but soon as I turned around to go back I lost all enthusiasm and energy. A gel gave a short boost but not enough. I cut the journey short my catching the train at Clarkson saving 25k and avoided a whole lot of nutty drivers

Friday Apr 18, 2014 #

Cycling 3:39:29 [4] 92.5 km (25.3 kph) +618m

Ride round the river with komy plus an extra 45km. Strong easterly early on but very enjoyable on the south side with the easterlies mostly behind.
So many people out in the parks with family, families on bikes, and a flotilla of stand up surfers at Cottesloe

Tuesday Apr 15, 2014 #

Cycling 1:11:59 [4] 34.0 km (28.3 kph)

Shorter than normal coastal loop. Drivers not concentrating today. Almost got taken out by two women drivers not giving way to the right. One did not even look. Fortunately I expect all drivers not to give way and was ready to brake. There were also the usual guys who pass you and forget that you are not stationary and also moving forward.

Hockey 1:10:00 [4]

Played the busiest position at centre half for a 2-0 win. Will be sore for a few days

Friday Apr 11, 2014 #

Cycling 1:28:15 [4] 40.97 km (27.9 kph)

Ride to Joondalup for coffee with the FROGS. Fun ride back via the coast with a slight tail wind

Thursday Apr 10, 2014 #

Cycling 1:24:58 [4] 40.1 km (28.3 kph)

Coast route. Sat behind 2 women who provided a brisk pace north into the wind. It was not that long before I was asked kindly to do a turn out the front.

Tuesday Apr 8, 2014 #

Cycling 1:25:44 [4] 39.66 km (27.8 kph)

Felt like I was doing it tough early on but GPS average said otherwise. Warmed up after about 12k and the return trip made easier by a slight tail wind. Coastal route

Cycling (CTA 40th Aniversary) 3:00:49 [3] 71.87 km (23.8 kph)

Late deciding to go on this ride as was quite tired and a little bit sore from yesterday. Left late and arrived after the ride had started and therefore required some catching. Soreness prevented getting anywhere near top speed. Thought about catching the train back home but resisted.

Magic day early with reflections of the river before the sea breeze came in.

Saturday Apr 5, 2014 #

Hockey 1:10:00 [4]

First game of grass season. Hard work and exhausted at end. 4-0 win

Friday Apr 4, 2014 #

Cycling 2:43:42 [4] 71.18 km (26.1 kph)

Down to Coogee and back. One of those days where the wind seems to be either across or against. Heaps of people around Scarborough for the surf carnival.

Cycling 1:43:26 [4] 43.5 km (25.2 kph)

Fierce southerly was tough to ride into but fun as a tail. Random road roads back, resulted in a few dead ends but not as windy as on the coast.
