Orienteering 37:00 [2] 3.0 km (4.9 kph)

Calves and hamstring very tight. Only able to walk the course. Set myself the challenge of not looking at the control descriptions and control numbers. However failed due to two similar features close together.

8 AM

Cycling 2:31:11 [3] 55.0 km (21.8 kph)

Hockey game cancelled due to lack of numbers. (lots of injuries) Over 55 ride to Vic Park via Nollamara. A lot of stop start due to a lot of stop signs

Hockey 1:10:00 [4]

Normally I would not go riding in the morning before a hockey game, but our team had forfeited. However I look at my emails in the afternoon asking me to fill in for another team.

Well I got there with no time to warm up and went straight on. Within a minute it felt like I had pulled a calf muscle. With no replacements I was left to walking. The calf was just severely cramped (not sufficient hydration on the bike ride) and after 20 minutes of walking became slightly looser. So I hobbled around the rest of the game. I did manage to score the first goal, however we ended up with a 3-2 defeat

Cycling 6:14:54 [4] 151.7 km (24.3 kph) +1693m

3 Dams Ride with the over 55's and without the expense. Perfect day for riding. Initially chili on the downhill sections. Still very hard on some sections making me think I need some lower gears. Ride marred by two group punctures both of which had to be redone due to faulty spares. Finished in good shape and some energy to spare.

Monday Apr 20, 2015 #

Cycling 2:21:32 [3] 54.8 km (23.2 kph)

Easy recovery ride with over 55. Found myself leading the group a number of times and doing it easily.

Saturday Apr 18, 2015 #

Ride to Joondalup to join o'55 wed ride, down busy back roads east of Wanneroo, finishing close to home for coffee then back to Joondalup. Seemed to be close to the limit all the time.
4 PM

Hockey 1:15:00 intensity: (25:00 @1) + (50:00 @4)

Ambitious after the cycling in the morning but ended up better than I thought. Finished with an umpiring stint.

Cycling 1:26:15 [3] 38.32 km (26.7 kph)

Circuit to Subiaco via freeway then coast. Considered the punishing Rebolt Hill but was not in the mood.

Saturday Apr 11, 2015 #

Hockey 1:10:00 [4]

First grass game of the season. Finished very sore and bruised after a torrid game and some errant hitting from the opposition. A good 2-1 win against the best team.
