Cycling 1:56:00 [4] 34.1 km (17.6 kph) +335m

Single rider to family gathering in Kings Park. Deliberately chose some steeper hills. Still feeling effects of extensive riding over last two weeks. Just missed the big downpour

Cycling 3:43:00 [4] 93.7 km (25.2 kph)

Seemed to feel OK after yesterdays ride, but as soon as I started into the headwind I knew it was going to be a tough day. Any slight rise was not appreciated. I rode 22km to the start of the over55 ride wondering if I would complete the ride or even start. I survived to Freo (via Roe Hwy) and hung on returning via the PSP. I hit the red zone at the narrows and subsequently crawled home with the help of the railway.

Cycling 3:04:44 intensity: (2:34:44 @4) + (30:00 @5) 69.11 km (22.4 kph) +968m

Hill climb ride today with komy and many other riding groups. Good workout and prep for the three dams. First hills ride for more than a year

Sunday Jan 24, 2016 #

Cycling 3:02:30 [4] 83.71 km (27.5 kph) +451m

Ride to Yanchep with komy. Easterly crosswind gave some assistance going north. Sharing the lead our average going north was 29kph. Not bad considering the beach traffic. A little slower back.

Saturday Jan 23, 2016 #

Cycling 2:35:00 [4] 61.28 km (23.7 kph) +355m

Good riding to start with but hot towards the end. To north Freo and return with the over 55

Friday Jan 22, 2016 #

Cycling 1:35:30 [4] 43.4 km (27.3 kph)

Ride up the coast with clement drive as a warm up. Coffee with the FROGS at Burns Beach. Best average speed for a while

Wednesday Jan 20, 2016 #

Cycling 3:18:33 [4] 85.76 km (25.9 kph)

Ride with over 55 marred by a number of punctures. (Seem to be more frequent after rain). Coffee and a restaurant past Hilary's Yacht Club, Which I did not know was there.

Sunday Jan 17, 2016 #

Cycling 2:36:10 [4] 65.98 km (25.3 kph) +411m

Ride with komy north to Jindalee with selected hill climbs. Enjoyable north with the wind. Tough on the way back into the wind as well as a few climbs. A slow leak unfortunately required attention on the way back. All energy reserves used up.

Saturday Jan 16, 2016 #

Cycling 1:52:00 [4] 45.2 km (24.2 kph)

Ride to Cottesloe along the much improved Subiaco to Freo PSP. then up the coast. Ride shortened due to the heat

Friday Jan 15, 2016 #

Cycling 1:28:00 [4] 36.53 km (24.9 kph) +203m

North up coast with extra loop at scarborough. Too hot for a long ride. Strong NE wind made a difference in the motivation depending on the riding direction.

Wednesday Jan 13, 2016 #

Cycling 3:14:38 [4] 79.55 km (24.5 kph) +455m

Rode 20k to the start of the ride and then promptly retraced the route back past home with the group. Stopped to take a call and lost the group. Took a bet on the direction of their travel and lost the bet ridding up to Mullaloo before finding them at Scarborough. Of cource just as I arrived they all got up to leave. By this stage I had already done 70k so after a coffee I returned home.

Mapping 5:40:00 [1] 6.8 km (50:00 / km)

Much better area for orienteering with less scrub

Saturday Jan 9, 2016 #

Cycling 2:24:20 [3] 62.43 km (26.0 kph)

Not enough faster riders turned up. So joined the slightly slower group. Appeared to be an easy ride up the coast but the average said otherwise. Finished up at the end of civilisation i.e. Jindalee

Friday Jan 8, 2016 #

Cycling 1:05:10 [4] 26.0 km (23.9 kph)

Not a good day for riding with strong winds and the heat. Fortunately the same winds are blowing away the smoke. Uncomfortable therefore cut short.

Wednesday Jan 6, 2016 #

Cycling 2:47:00 [4] 74.5 km (26.8 kph)

Departed from Beaton Park for a well paced circuit, first to Scarborough then Freo and around the river. Back to the start too early so added another 8k loop around Dalkeith

Monday Jan 4, 2016 #

Mapping 5:30:00 [1] 6.0 km (55:00 / km)

Mapping continues at JFNP. Not as bad vegetation wise as further south. Found a few camps but no dead bodies.

Saturday Jan 2, 2016 #

Cycling 2:53:44 [4] 65.8 km (22.7 kph) +535m

Zig zaged south along the skyline with some selected climbs. Plenty of golf courses and parks make this a pleasant ride. Average is slow due to the many stops at intersections. Finished at kings park where I was surprised to find my daughters family having a day out at sticky beaks.
