Cycling 3:38:40 [4] 96.5 km (26.5 kph)

Carine , weaponess road, Claremont, Dalkeith, riverside drive, Maylands peninsular then Guilford Road to Guilford to meet up with the Friday bike riders for coffee. Then west Swan Road, Gnagara road and then Freeway bike path home. Magnificent morning to start, with barely a ripple on the river. A north easterly picked up after an hour to provide a head wind. It was ment to be a challenge but I did go further than I wanted. At 70km I was moderately cooked but then had a second wind at 75km (or was that a tail wind), then cooked again at 80km. The 50km/h downhill to wanneroo road saved me. At 89km I was barbequed but still had to do the hills on the bike path home.

Thanks to the two car drivers who pulled out in front of me from side streets. It sharpened up my reflexes no end. Thanks to the tourists near the Bell tower who taught me something new about keeping left on the dual carriageway. Special thanks to the driver at Claremont who turned left across by bow at the trafic light and then indicated after I came to a standstill. It is just so polite. We should have more of it.
