Trials for state selection in Rockingham
2 PM

MTBO (Setting) 1:30:00 [3]

Checking potential control sites at Langford park. Ended up with only three gears with a malfunction of the back gears. Towards the end of the day saw a very pale dingo heading towards the picnic area. No doubt after picnic scraps.

Hockey 1:10:00 [4]

Set up both of our goals for a 2 all draw. Hockey is a non contact sport. However this did not stop me getting black eyes and a very sore nose (broken again?) from a shoulder charge.

Cycling 1:50:50 [3] 46.7 km (25.3 kph)

CCCold morning so cold that initially going over 20kph froze the nipples.
So slow start but soon warmed up. Head to Joondalup via Wangarra to meet with the Friday O bike riders and have coffee and delicious pastries. Unfrotunately far from joyous as Alan C had fallen off his bike, metres from the coffee shop, requiring a hospital visit. Return via the West Coast.

Cycling 1:32:45 [4] 43.7 km (28.3 kph)

Trig to Burns Beach Road then Freeway bike path. Average speed initially high,pushing up all the small rises at over 30 kph, feeling very good. Slowed up the freeway bike path with the steeper and longer hills as well as those terrible concrete pathways. Spent at the end.

Set out for a quiet days mapping at Bells Rapids. Not to be with planes flying overhead every 2-3 minutes up to 12 pm when it eased off to every 5 minutes. Perth sure has changed since we moved over in the 90's
