Hard work from the second control on. Dry gravel and sandy tracks made riding uphill almost impossible. Good area around the gravel quarry but a slog for everything after that. Saw a number of people leaving their bikes to get to controls. no sheep stations but they know who they are. Coming back down was just lain dangerous. Good route choice except to 19 where through tiredness just did not see the best route. Course way too long for the conditions and too many controls minimised route choices.
