Nice and easy.

Hiking & Running intervals 15:27 [5]
shoes: RunAmoc Dash 5mm

3:1 3:1 3:1 3

Three intervals of one minute at maybe 70-75% of my current best effort with three minutes to cool down to a medium jog. Wasn't much of a push really. Next time 2:1 x 5 and a little harder. About 80%.

Calves and shins sore but overall feeling better.

Again through the parks around the MTB track. Lots of people around the centers playing in Mahjong tournaments. I ran some of the trails and the moccasins are surprisingly responsive. I can feel the ground, my toes have the space to splay out and work, but the 5mm is enough to soften and spring a little.

I had a 25ish minute loop in mind when I started but I canned it after sixteen. My calves, shins and, wierdly, my general body is sore and sluggish. I think that I am cranking it up too quickly. I guess I am certainly getting older. I don't just adapt to changes as I once did. I have to compromise by being smarter about how I go about building myself up.

Hannah suggested staying at 15 miles but adding in intervals. I think that's a good idea.

Hiking & Running 22:37 [3]
shoes: RunAmoc Dash 5mm

First day with the new moccasins. Nice to practice with the same bio-mechanics of a forefoot strike but just enough softening in the sole to be not so concerned with the terrain.

Ran around the parks and access road that surround the Olympic Mountain Bike Track. I like meander-running. Despite all this I felt a little sluggish today and developed some pain below my left kneecap. Most likely owing to the sloppy technique. Also hilly which I haven't experienced before [at least since going minimal].
