Jan's compass orienteering: Started with Patschi and at the Phi-loops ran the loops in different order. I had some difficulties with the loops and rigth after the 12. control noticed that the compass box is missing. After a while searching for the compass box decided to continue the training. It was the first time that I ran with Sophie's compass as mine has a big bubble - maybe also the last time ;).
Read carefully the control description and took the destination based on the arriving direction to the control. I managed to find two controls well with this method, but still I was relieved to see Patschi on the way to the 15.

Running with Robert, Johan, Max and Marcel. Robert seemed to be glad that the group was so big on a working day, therefore he run some extra and Johan left the group before the end. Very hard for me, but I knew it will be.

Starting one minute before the wild animal from Sweden. The first controls searching a good flow. Then the animal caught me and the next controls went well. I got maybe a 20 second lead before the running part on the dunes, but it wasn't enough it ran even past me. Going over my limit lead to uncontrolled orienteering and to a big mistake on fourteenth.
Controlled orienteering and running without compass works well.

1% of the Germany's population was interview for a survey. I was one of the lucky or unlucky ones, therefore couldn't join the training.
