Mapping 2:00:00 [1] 2.0 km (1:00:00 / km) +10m 58:32 / km

second visit to Grange Top Wood, veg boundaries are all distinct, runnability varies, that's going to occupy me

6 PM

running 1:23:36 [3] 13.75 km (6:05 / km) +240m 5:36 / km
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 340

Clough Wood, Stanton Moor, Peak Tor, Darley Bridge
the reverse of the usual route to take the woods in the daylight, with sunset over Stanton, so a decent climb near the beginning, a few stops, struggled a bit in the woods by the Derwent when the lamps went on and the pace went up

running warm up/down 25:00 [2] 2.0 km (12:30 / km) +50m 11:07 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 190

jog and fast uphill walk to start, more than 2km, I reckon

12 PM

Orienteering race 1:09:56 [5] 9.97 km (7:01 / km) +205m 6:22 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 190

YHOA Champs, Hawkswick Clowder, Short Brown
felt rough this morning, probably wouldn't have gone if it had been only me, but surprisingly ran quite well, didn't take my glasses, but map was more detailed than Malham and I needed them, at least one miss due to not getting full information from map

Orienteering race 1:23:05 [5] 10.61 km (7:50 / km) +195m 7:10 / km
(sick) shoes: Inov8 Oroc 340

Northern Champs, Malham Moor, M45
oh dear, major engine failure after less than 30mins, there were a few downhill legs after that, but then was completely done on the long haul to #10, no second wind, nothing, would've retired but the rest of the course was in direction home

lovely weather, surprising warm out there, navigation pretty easy, strayed off-line on 12, but I didn't care by that point

I'm assuming this is related to Thursday's stomach upset and/or (suspected) cold, couldn't eat my sandwiches after the run, feel like I've been beaten up, but don't have any bruises

Note
(sick)

either a cold is coming or its passing through, didn't feel great yesterday evening after the run, stomach had been a bit 'confused' during the day

6 PM

Core Conditioning 15:00 [0]

KV's core conditioning and hip stretches (I can almost do it without the video now)

6 PM

running warm up/down 15:49 [3] 3.0 km (5:16 / km) +35m 4:59 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Hitogami 2

steady run around Morledge and down to the park for intervals

running intervals 14:08 [5] 2.8 km (5:03 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Hitogami 2

30-20-10 intervals as 45-30-15 double paces (© J Cross)

worked quite well, pace count was slightly on the long side, especially the 45, covered approximately 120-80-50m for each, didn't feel I reached full intensity somehow, easy pace too slow?

running 8:59 [2] 1.57 km (5:43 / km) +5m 5:38 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Hitogami 2

jog back via the Derwent
