Note
(sick)

no adverse reaction to yesterday's outing, almost tempted to go again, but it would have been another plod, not so permissible in the daylight, will probably have to sleep a little this afternoon, by no means back to full health

Orienteering race 47:46 [4] 5.99 km (7:58 / km) +90m 7:25 / km
(sick) shoes: Inov8 mudclaw 300

YHOA Night League, Ramsley Moor, Long
although I hadn't really recovered sufficiently to be out racing, I figured I could plod around at night and aim for a clean run, I certainly did plod but my run wasn't completely clean, legs were heavy and chest was wheezing

I also wanted to test my new lamp: didn't feel like I was running at night somehow, not sure if I had it on max beam, but it was good enough to pick out the controls, had trouble reading the map in the overspill, however, this was more to do with not wearing glasses, not an option at night anymore

#3 not a miss, but slow as I fought the compass [20]
#4 should've gambled on finding the edge of the marsh, the marsh itself was slooow [50]
#7 control was further south than anticipated, distracted by runners (Pippa) coming back from that direction - they'd stopped short as well [150]
#11 hesitant, didn't find indistinct path [20]
#12 again fighting the compass, but compass won, hit the wood slightly to the south [20]

2nd (18), 44secs behind Joe Taunton, good result (?!)

Whitesprings
a gentle run around the FC part of the old Whitesprings map to check the extent of the improvements (felling!) and to try and clear my tubes a bit, don't think I could have run much faster

got some noxious smelling stuff still blocking my nose, not really been any improvement today

Tuesday Oct 27, 2015 #

Note
(sick)

now it's just a temperature and a bunged-up nose on waking

Monday Oct 26, 2015 #

Note
(sick)

72 hours after the op and the tightness in the muscles has eased considerably, woke with a temperature and blocked nose, might be ready for an easy run on Wednesday
