not at the races today, guess my body's battling with a cold, certainly under par and easily stressed, started out feeling fresh (after two days off) then i had a boo when I reached the road and realised I would have to climb above the control #3, from that point on I resented all the climbs, struggled to decide the long route, but plumped for wide left after Quentin headed off that way, so hesitant that he was over 30secs ahead by the crossing

left foot went down rabbit hole approaching #10 and jarred my big toe, a little sore now

just Paul for company so a reasonable pace until we tried to cut the corner in the north and found waist-high bracken, felt pretty good around, feared I'd be down with a cold by now - there's one going around in London
