shoes: Inov8 Arctic Talon 275

Darley Churchtown & Back
two helly hansens required today, cycle path has an excellent surface in the snow (if you're wearing dobs), face a bit numb

running 47:16 [3] 7.75 km (6:06 / km) +120m 5:40 / km
shoes: Inov8 Arctic Talon 275

Oker Loop
full value from this in six inches of snow, much of it pristine, paused to take a few photos with the sun going down and all

running 13:58 [2] 2.69 km (5:12 / km) +25m 4:58 / km
shoes: Inov8 Arctic Talon 275

Bottom Moor
decided to go for another map run on Harland/Gibbett Moor but that quickly proved a bad idea: the b-road wasn't clear of snow, headed home on the major routes but stopped at Bottom Moor to get some sort of run for my money, tweaked the side of my ankle on the hard ground, feels okay though, guess you'd call that a recovery run

Core Conditioning 10:00 [0]

KV's core-conditioning while the crispy aromatic duck was in the oven, then burnt the pancakes to a crisp, not a successful day

Orienteering race 54:49 [5] 9.33 km (5:53 / km) +60m 5:42 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212

Pembrey
too easy, felt slightly sick - 90mins is not enough for digestion of egg sandwich and coffee - and heavy-legged, beaten by faster and fresher runners

11th, 10mins behind Megan

BNOC, Merthyr Mawr
great fun, not as difficult as expected, kept good discipline and ran hard when I could, until short leg in the forest where I neglected to use my compass or my paces and just hoped to find it - but didn't, lost the bronze medal there, disappointing

6th (4th M50), 9mins behind Dave
